Firebricks line the inside of many wood-burning and multi-fuel stoves, helping to protect the stove body from the intense temperatures within the combustion chamber.
Over time, firebricks can become worn, cracked or damaged and may need replacing.
Select the correct thickness for your stove and enter the dimensions required into the calculator.
Each firebrick is cut specifically to the measurements entered when ordering.

Why replace them
Fire bricks insulate the firebox and protect the stove body. The bricks stoves ship with are often low quality and crack early — and once they do, the steel behind them takes the heat, the stove burns less efficiently, and the damage can become irreversible. Fresh boards are cheap insurance for the stove’s lifespan.
Fitting fire bricks
Boards sit in place — lift the old brick out, drop the new one in, and never force a tight cut. Match the original thickness so grate and baffle sit as designed. Hairline cracks aren’t urgent, but replace a brick before pieces start falling away.

Which thickness do I need?
Match what your stove came with — measure the edge of an old brick and choose 15, 20, 25 or 30 mm. If the originals have crumbled beyond measuring, ring the workshop on 01274 892360 with your stove’s make and model.
Why did my bricks crack?
Constant heating and cooling, knocks from logs, and — very often — the low-grade boards some stoves ship with. Quality vermiculite cut to the right size takes the same punishment for far longer.
Do you cut for any stove?
Yes — the boards are cut to your measurements, so make and model don’t matter. Rectangular bricks go through the calculator above; anything shaped goes through the template route.
