Shaped Stove Glass Cut to Size

4.8 store rating · 1,000+ Trustpilot reviews

Arched or completely custom — we produce flat 4mm SCHOTT ROBAX® glass-ceramic replacement stove glass with shaped edges. Enter the longest width and highest point in centimetres to get your price, then upload a diagram or post your template. Cut from clear, heat-resistant glass-ceramic to the nearest square centimetre.

Your template

Send us your shape.

All measurements marked clearly, to the nearest centimetre. Heavily domed glass still needs an exact posted template.

Draw around the old glass on a piece of paper or card — cereal boxes are welcome — and post it to us. Clearly write your name and order number on the template.

Measure it right

Template it right, first time.

Three rules from the workshop — and one safety note: wear gloves with broken glass, and never work on a stove until it has fully cooled.

Rule 01

Measure the extremes

Find the longest width and the highest point of the glass — wherever they fall on the shape — and enter both in centimetres.

Rule 02

Trace the old glass

Draw around it on paper, card or wrapping paper — cereal boxes welcome — showing the exact shape and size you need.

Rule 03

Upload or post it

A clearly-measured diagram can be uploaded with your order; heavily domed glass needs the exact template posted with your order number.

How the template route works

Enter your sizes for a quotation and place the order. Then either upload a clearly-measured diagram, or post the exact template with your order number. The moment it reaches the workshop, your glass is cut and dispatched the same or next working day on the delivery service you chose.

Fitting advice

Tighten the retaining screws gently and evenly — over-tightening is the most common cause of cracked panes. Never bed stove glass in fire cement; it can’t expand and will crack. While the door’s off, check the rope seal and replace it if it’s flattened.

Delivery

Once your diagram or posted template reaches the workshop, your glass is cut and dispatched the same or next working day, with next-day delivery available across the UK. Full options are on the delivery information page.

Returns & our promise

Every pane is made to order to a published size and checked before it’s packed by hand. If anything isn’t right on arrival, ring the workshop on 01274 892360 and we’ll put it right. Full terms in the returns policy.

Just a rectangle after all?

If your pane turns out to be a plain rectangle or square, skip the template entirely — the cut-to-size calculator prices it instantly from two measurements.

Measured twice, ordered once — the new pane dropped straight into my Evergreen. Exactly the size I asked for.

Ordered at lunchtime on Tuesday, fitted by Wednesday evening. The stove was back on before the cold snap.

Beautifully packed and genuinely helpful on the phone when I wasn't sure how to measure.

Questions

Before you order.

Do I always have to post a template?

No — if the shape can be illustrated clearly with every measurement marked to the nearest centimetre, upload the diagram with your order. An exact posted template is only essential for tricky cuts, especially heavily domed glass.

What can I make the template from?

Paper, cardboard, wrapping paper — whatever’s easiest. Cereal boxes welcome. Draw around the old glass showing the exact shape and size, add your order number, and post it to the Keighley workshop.

Can you cut my shape?

If you can trace it, almost certainly — any flat shape across all makes and models. The only exception is concave (curved) glass, which can’t be supplied.
